NCCE Educates Sacred Heart Students on Civic Duties and Electoral Participation

On November 14th, 2024, the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) held an impactful sensitization session for the students of Sacred Heart Senior High School. The event took place at the school’s dining hall, beginning at 2:45 PM, and drew the attention of students eager to understand their role as active citizens in Ghana’s democracy.

The focus of the engagement was to raise awareness about the civic responsibilities of young people—especially first-time voters—as the country gears up for future elections. Students were guided through the importance of participating in elections, understanding their rights, and being vigilant about the regularities and irregularities often associated with electoral processes.

Through interactive discussions and detailed explanations, the NCCE encouraged students to make informed decisions at the polls and become ambassadors of peaceful, fair, and credible elections.

This timely and insightful programme empowered the students with knowledge that goes beyond the classroom—equipping them to be responsible citizens and future leaders of Ghana.
