Sacred Heart SHS Elects New Prefects and SRC Executives for 2024/2025 Academic Year

Sacred Heart Senior High School has successfully elected new prefects and Students’ Representative Council (SRC) executives for the 2024/2025 academic year.

In a historic milestone, the school implemented an electronic voting system for the first time in its electoral history, allowing students to cast their votes digitally on June 28, 2024. The process followed a thorough period of nominations, interviews, and spirited campaigns by the various candidates.

The newly elected prefects and SRC executives were officially sworn into office on July 24, 2024, in a solemn ceremony led by the school chaplain, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Adongo.

In her inaugural speech, the newly elected Senior Prefect, Miss Kezia Anyeembey, called on her fellow prefects to unite and work collaboratively in fulfilling their respective duties, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and integrity in leadership.

To prepare them for their new roles, a two-day orientation was organized and led by the Headmistress, Rev. Sr. Benedicta Uzokwe. The training was aimed at equipping the student leaders with the necessary skills and guidance to serve the school community effectively.

The entire school community extends heartfelt congratulations to the new student leaders. As they step into their leadership roles, we wish them great success and encourage them to lead by example, upholding the values and standards of Sacred Heart SHS.
