Sacred Heart Senior High School Student Representative Council (SRC) Week Celebration 2025 Theme: “A Dynamic Week of Creativity, Innovation, and Showcasing Our Culture”

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming SRC Week Celebration at Sacred Heart Senior High School—a week filled with vibrant activities, learning opportunities, and cultural expressions. This year’s celebration promises to be memorable under the theme:
“A Dynamic Week of Creativity, Innovation, and Showcasing Our Culture.”

Here’s a lineup of the exciting events:

Sunday, 25th May
Candle Light Possession & Gospel Rock Show
We begin the week with a spiritual spark. Join us for a solemn candlelight procession, followed by an uplifting gospel rock show celebrating faith and unity.

Tuesday, 27th May
Panel Discussion
An insightful session with speakers from various industries. Let’s engage in meaningful conversations about youth, leadership, and innovation.

Wednesday, 28th May
Debate with Notre Dame Girls' SHS & Movie Night
A thrilling intellectual battle between Sacred Heart SHS and Notre Dame Girls’ SHS, followed by a relaxing movie night under the stars.

Thursday, 29th May
Float / Mock Parliament / Indoor Games
Experience the vibrancy of our school as we take to the streets in a float parade. Witness the brilliance of students in a Mock Parliament session and enjoy friendly competition through various indoor games.

Friday, 30th May
Clean-Up Exercise & Face of SAHESS Pageantry
We give back to our community with a cleanup exercise, and then glam up in the evening for the highly anticipated Face of SAHESS pageant.

Saturday, 31st May
Grand Durbar & Fun Fair
The highlight of the week! A day of cultural displays, music, food, games, and fun-filled activities for students, staff, alumni, and guests.

Sunday, 1st June
Thanksgiving Service
We conclude the week with a heartfelt thanksgiving service, showing gratitude for a successful celebration.

Sacred Heart Senior High School Inaugurates New Board of Governors

Sacred Heart Senior High School held a formal inauguration ceremony on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, to welcome its newly constituted Board of Governors. The event took place at the school’s Conference Room, drawing key stakeholders from the educational and religious communities. The new board is chaired by  Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Yaw Oppong Kumi , Founder and CEO of Pax Garments Ltd, Sunyani, and also Board Chair of Caritas Sunyani. His leadership is expected to bring a blend of entrepreneurial insight and deep commitment to service. In his inaugural remarks, Rev. Fr. Sahess Students Hike to Sunyani Soldiers' Barracks: A Lesson in Strength and Service

On August 10th, 2024, a spirited group of students from Sacred Heart Senior High School, participating in the Head of State Awards Scheme (HOSA), set out on a unique hiking adventure to the Soldiers' Barracks in Sunyani. Led by their coordinators—Madam Emelia Frimpong Kyeremeh, Mr. Gideon A. Affah, and Mr. Christian Aduhene Adomako—the trip was designed not just for physical challenge, but for character building and team spirit. Joining the expedition was the school’s health team, accompanied by their master Mr. Addai Issac, who ensured that all necessary medical precautions were in place throughout the hike. The trail to the barracks tested the students’ endurance, encouraging them to push beyond their limits while working together and supporting one another.
