NCCE Visit from Sunyani Municipal

A Surprise Visit to Remember!

On 22nd May 2025, Sacred Heart Senior High School was honored with a surprise visit from the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Sunyani Municipal. This visit formed part of the celebration of Constitution and Citizenship Week, centered around the theme: "Ghana’s Future: Our Collective Responsibility."

The aim of this special week was to help students understand and embrace the core values and responsibilities of good citizenship.

We were privileged to host a dedicated team of civil educators including:

Margaret Abrafi Appiah (Municipal Director)

Angeline Serwaa Bonsu

Mr. Mumuni Abdul Suyuru

Gloria Asantewaa Sakyi

Key Highlights of the Visit

The NCCE team enlightened students on the importance of:

Upholding core values in our daily lives

Fulfilling our responsibilities as citizens

Rejecting violence and choosing peace

Becoming active agents of national unity and progress

The session was interactive and empowering. The open forum allowed students to ask questions freely, all of which were addressed with clarity and insight.

A Truly Educational Experience

The visit left a lasting impact on students and staff alike. It was not just a learning opportunity, but a powerful call to action for us all to contribute to Ghana’s development with integrity, peace, and civic responsibility.

Together, we build Ghana. 🇬🇭
