Cultural Day Celebration : A Day of Heritage and Unity

The fourth day of the SAHEISS SRC Week Celebration 2025, held on Wednesday, May 28th, was a vibrant and unforgettable display of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage. Students across the campus brought color, rhythm, and flavor to life as they proudly showcased the traditions of their various ethnic groups.

In line with the day’s theme, students arrived dressed in their traditional attire, representing the customs and identity of their tribes and communities. From the woven Kente of the Ashanti to the smock of the Northern regions, the campus was transformed into a living museum of Ghanaian culture.
The highlight of the day was the Cultural Display, where all 16 regions of Ghana were represented. Students took turns to:

Speak about their customs, beliefs, and local traditions

Narrate the history of their regions

Present cultural performances, including dances, music, and poetry

Showcase traditional dishes, crafts, and regalia

The atmosphere was one of pride, unity, and celebration as students learned from one another and embraced the beauty of Ghana's diversity.

The day ended with the powerful phrase:
“Tell me your culture, I tell you mine!”
— a perfect reflection of the event’s spirit of cultural exchange, respect, and unity.
