✝️ Feast of the Sacred Heart: A Day of Grace and Celebration

On Friday, June 27, 2025, Sacred Heart Senior High School joyfully celebrated its annual Feast Day — a solemn yet vibrant occasion that brought together students, staff, and distinguished guests in honor of the school’s spiritual foundation.

The day began with the grand arrival of the Bishop, Most Rev. Matthew Akwasi Gyamfi, who was warmly welcomed with a procession of students, including those preparing to be confirmed. The atmosphere was filled with reverence and anticipation as the community gathered for this sacred moment.

To mark the occasion, beautiful poems were recited to pay tribute to the Bishop and expressing the school’s appreciation for his presence and guidance. Their words highlighted themes of faith, devotion, and gratitude.

The Bishop delivered a powerful sermon centered on the Feast Day theme, emphasizing the values of love, humility, and commitment to Christ. His message deeply resonated with all in attendance and set the tone for the spiritual activities that followed.

Immediately after the sermon, the Bishop presided over the Rite of Confirmation, officially ordaining selected students into full communion with the Church. He also initiated several students as First Communicants, marking an important spiritual milestone in their lives.

To conclude the ceremony, the senior prefects, on behalf of the entire school, presented a special gift to the Bishop, expressing gratitude for his continued support, prayers, and spiritual leadership.

June 27th was not just a celebration of tradition, but a renewal of faith and identity for Sacred Heart Senior High School.

We give thanks for a blessed Feast Day and look forward to the continued spiritual growth of our students.

Sacred Heart Senior High School held a formal inauguration ceremony on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, to welcome its newly constituted Board of Governors. The event took place at the school’s Conference Room, drawing key stakeholders from the educational and religious communities. The new board is chaired by  Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Yaw Oppong Kumi , Founder and CEO of Pax Garments Ltd, Sunyani, and also Board Chair of Caritas Sunyani. Sahess Students Hike to Sunyani Soldiers' Barracks: A Lesson in Strength and Service

On August 10th, 2024, a spirited group of students from Sacred Heart Senior High School, participating in the Head of State Awards Scheme (HOSA), set out on a unique hiking adventure to the Soldiers' Barracks in Sunyani. Led by their coordinators—Madam Emelia Frimpong Kyeremeh, Mr. Gideon A. Affah, and Mr. Christian Aduhene Adomako—the trip was designed not just for physical challenge, but for character building and team spirit. Joining the expedition was the school’s health team, accompanied by their master Mr. Addai Issac, who ensured that all necessary medical precautions were in place throughout the hike.
