HISTORY MADE AT SAHESS! SCHOOL LAUNCHES 1ST EVER STUDENTS PARLIAMENT

Sacred Heart Senior High School (SAHESS) has become the first Senior High School in the Bono Region to establish a Students Parliament, creating a platform for student leadership, participation and democratic governance.

The initiative was conceived by Edmond Osei Kwadwo, Senior Prefect of SAHESS and a member of the Sunyani Adolescents Parliament under the RCA Project.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Raphael Godlove Ahenu, CEO of Global Media Foundation, commended the school for amplifying student voices and urged the newly elected MPs to champion discipline, academic excellence and responsible leadership.

The event also featured presentations on sanitation and digital entrepreneurship, as well as a panel discussion on the role of students in the use of social media.

A major highlight was the swearing-in of the Speaker and inauguration of the student MPs.

A landmark step towards nurturing future leaders and strengthening student participation in school governance.
