Nsoatre, Bono Region — On Wednesday, 30th July 2025, the Assembly Hall of Sacred Heart Senior High School became the centre of a powerful call to action as education authorities, traditional leaders, security agencies, religious bodies, and community representatives gathered for a joint seminar on the theme “Combating Examination Malpractice in WASSCE in Ghana.” The event, hosted by Sacred Heart Senior High School, was organised in collaboration with the District Education Directorate (Sunyani West) , Regional Education Directorate (Bono Region) , Catholic Education Unit (Sunyani) , Basic Schools in Nsoatre , Nsoatre Traditional Council , Nsoatre Police Station , and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community . On June 5th, 2025, Sacred Heart Senior High School had the honor of participating in the launching of the Tree for Life initiative, a program aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability and contributing to a greener future. The ceremony was held at the school's premises, with Mr. Yusif Haruna, the Nsoatre range manager, guiding the event and providing crucial insight into the day’s activities. Mr. Faruna shared the importance of this event, explaining that the Cedrela tree was selected to meet the specific demands of the school. The tree’s growth and future planting will benefit the school community and contribute positively to the local ecosystem. The ceremony was conducted with care and precision. Though a traditional measuring tape was unavailable, an innovative technique was used to measure the planting spaces: students used a four-by-four step measurement to ensure proper spacing for each tree. Saturday, May 31st, 2025, marked the grand finale of the SAHESS SRC Week Celebration 2025 — a day filled with color, culture, music, and memorable unity. The day began with an official Grand Durbar, welcoming sister schools including Wenchi Methodist SHS, St. James Seminary SHS, Presby SHS, Sunyani SHS, Berekum SHS and many others. Dignitaries, staff, and students gathered under one roof to celebrate our collective commitment to leadership, creativity, and tradition. The fourth day of the SAHEISS SRC Week Celebration 2025, held on Wednesday, May 28th, was a vibrant and unforgettable display of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage. Students across the campus brought color, rhythm, and flavor to life as they proudly showcased the traditions of their various ethnic groups. In line with the day’s theme, students arrived dressed in their traditional attire, representing the customs and identity of their tribes and communities. From the woven Kente of the Ashanti to the smock of the Northern regions, the campus was transformed into a living museum of Ghanaian culture. On Sunday, May 25th, 2025, students of Sacred Heart Senior High School gathered to experience one of the most spiritually impactful moments of SRC Week 2025 — a day marked by faith, family, and fellowship. The morning began with our usual Sunday Mass, hosted in the dining hall. The homily reminded us of the importance of leadership rooted in service, setting the tone for what followed — the official launch of the SRC's flagship projects, which include exciting student-led initiatives aimed at improving campus life and infrastructure. Later in the day, the campus came alive with warmth and joy as students welcomed their families during Visiting Hours (1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
